Me and 2 of my Toku buddies will be doing some videos of our own and even had set up a Youtube account. Basically were just montages and video shoots. This is something that I been wanting to do ever since. And what most of you guys loves to do as a hobby.

I mean, you can’t deny the fact when it comes in making fun and cool videos. Especially when you are into photography and filming. Just imagine all the scenarios and great ideas that you had in mind. And ready to put them all in the scene. You are the director. This is your stage. Your studio. Also, its never too late to start one when you got the time to do. And Youtube is still highly recommended to upload all your videos in it.

For my part, its all started when I watched countless Youtube videos of some of the Power Rangers cosplayers in the United States doing their own fun videos. Many of them really make a big hit!

That’s where it hit me too. Since many of us had our own costumes, why not we do it as well? I know some of them want to enjoy doing something like this. Not only just montages. Can be like a parody act too. If better still, can even make a short film. Who knows?

All of our Rangers and Riders buddies were invited into it. The more the merrier. And the merrier it is, the more action we can add in. All for the love of fun and entertainment. Friends and other cosplayers gonna love it!

Now, let’s get those cameras rolling! =)

Its another fun filling day for the community of  Pause For A Cause (PFAC) to come together to bring smile for the kids. From the time its first started, we had reach out to many network of charities and communities. Spontaneously expanding our mission, to promote our cosplay appeal for a good cause into society. From there, we quickly become well-known and had gained more cosplayers who are willing to contribute to join us.

Our founder were in touch with this community known as Project GIVE, where the team work alongside with Kandang Kerbau Hospital’s (KKH) Homecare team. Their aim is to provide joy, happiness, cheers and lots of love for those kids with special needs. With us providing the best of our support, we can ensure the kids and their families that this will be an awesome event they won’t forget. Cause there will be a cosplay runway prepared by us. Like a fashion runway, literally =D The children were so amazed by our appearance as they did not expect a group of Power Rangers to show up on stage.

Speaking of which, only we, 6 of us Power Rangers show up at the event. So likewise, the event’s theme will be the morphenomenal Power Rangers. Superheroes who carried the symbol of hope and happiness =)

So after our cosplay runaway ended, we were divided into 3 teams. We will followed the respective staff assigned to us to mingle with the kids and their families. Also, to have their photos taken with us. The kids there were so happy to see their childhood heroes in person (Although there’s some ended up crying cause they were quite frightened), that some of them even scream excitedly from a distance.

Hilariously, we also ended up taking part in this workout program on stage. Its kind of unexpected actually. We were told that most of the kids wants us to be on stage and join the people up there. So there we were, burning those calories away while we workout. I had to admit. I was truly enjoying myself up there! So does the rest. This is where the fun part comes in. I just couldn’t help myself once I’m high in suit. Seriously! Man! I just couldn’t get enough of the workout! XD!!!!

Best photos taken from friends. Credits to them! =)

*Note: Due to the nature of this event, we are not allowed to disclose photos of the special kids and their families as to protect their privacy. Photos shown below are cleared by the organisers. give 1 project 2

At the end of the day, I’ve learn something meaningful from all this. That life is short. Be thankful and grateful for what you have now. And how fortunate you were to be. There are those who are less fortunate, but yet struggles to live a normal life like everybody else. Be cherish by each passing day. Especially when you get to wake up and start fresh for a new day. The event I attended, had left me to feel sadden by these kids who suffered such disability. Behind that Power Ranger helmet of mine, I admit that I was nearly in tears, that I really feel sorry for them. That’s why we are all there to give them the best and put a smile on each one of them. Its really a wonderful experience for me.

That’s why we have to be grateful of who we are and what we have now. Even if you are not rich. Cause money and fame doesn’t last long. There are people out there who needs more than we do. Life is short. We would like to thank the organisers of Project GIVE for giving us this opportunity to work alongside with them and giving them the best support needed. Our aim is alike, and we will do whatever we can to give the encouragement and best in our ability for these special children. We will continue to meet again in the future! =)

The Fun Of Building Props

Something worth sharing. And the fact that I’ve been inquire by most people.

Ever since a friend of mine given me his DIY Red Ranger’s Power Sword (I wasn’t the first Red Ranger here. He had retired from it and had move on to cosplay other well-known characters), I had been custom-made quite a number of weapons or props at my own leisure. I even done four props that were used by the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to add up with the sword. I’m pretty sure you know what they were.

Then came the day when one of my Ranger buddies who cosplay as the Red Samurai Ranger asked me whether it is possible to built him the Spin Sword. They are the Rangers’ sidearms that function with a Power Discs seen in the show. That’s where it hit me, that I can help my Ranger buddies to commission a weapon that were specifically meant for them.

This is a good chance for me. Cause I can make money out of it since they agreed to pay me if I can make them one. Also, I had found out that I have been improving ever since I first started. So why not take this opportunity and earn some cash along the way? Of course I won’t be that greedy and charge them that high! At most the easiest I can built were the swords. So for that I charge only $15. But still, depends on the size. If its big, I will charge a little more.

Reason being, all my props were made using foam, wood, cardboard, paper. Just simple materials. So it will be wrong for me to charge such a high amount for such simple materials that even kids are using. This is also where people had asked me, in regards to accuracy and details.

Time and again, I had emphasis that all my props were not professionally built. Even if I try to did my best, they won’t be that 100% accurate like in the actual series.

I don’t owned any workshop as all of these were done in my own bedroom. I don’t have a handful of crew, as all of these were made by me, alone. I don’t have the proper tools or equipments as all of these were done using simple stationary art and craft tools. All these were basically props used for cosplay purposes.

Nevertheless, I’m always satisfied by my own work. May not be like the actual thing. But close enough to tell from it. So does my Rangers whom I built for them. They were happy with it and wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t screen accurate. At least they know that I had improve and know where to start from. Thanks guys! =)

Now I’m open for any commission of Power Rangers weapons from all series. And I say again, Power Rangers ONLY. And the more I built, the more I enjoyed it. And really helps to pass the time. To add on, I will usually tune in to any Power Rangers soundtracks while at it. I found out that it actually keeps me motivated =P
