Captain’s log                                 Stardate: 65161.8 (Aug 29th, 2011)

Two nights ago on the 27th, SPI leads 15 enthusiastic participants for a night of exclusive investigation which takes at the abandoned rifle range located in the west of Singapore. Yes, its that same rifle range where we had our investigation some time ago. So on that night, will be a special one where it involves 15 selected participants who had registered for this event to take part in the investigation. Also, its a Hungry Ghost Festival special, as every year, SPI will conduct an event for this annual festival. We will introduced them the various gadgets used and to demonstrate how the investigation were conducted. There will also be a short spooky walk, where we will lead them through a narrow trail, where they can experience what’s it like walking in the dark through a dense jungle. For newbies, of course. =)

(The premises of the place shall be kept confidential to prevent any cause of breach from outsiders)

Straight after dinner, we proceed towards the location. As eager as we agents were, so does the participants. Seems that they are ready for what awaits them. Well, we’ll be happy to present them what’s on that night’s menu at this old rifle range where an unknown feeling lurks within. There’s something about this place that really creeps from inside-out. The feeling around it seems rather unparallel. Though there’s no such evidence or facts to say that this place was haunted, we still detect strange movements, sounds, sudden drop in temperature, cold spots and even from one of the agents, where he caught sighted of three bony fingers gripped onto the side of a doorway during a corporate trail. Based on what we’ve gathered, we can now concluded that this rifle range does have some residual hauntings left untold. It seem to be clouded in a mist or some form, surrounding the perimeter. Whatever happens here, does have a dark mystery that was been forgotten after so many years of been rot to that very ground….

The investigation will be no doubt, the same sequence as what we had did previously. And when comes to the EVP session, we will ask for any two volunteers, to see whether they are brave enough to sit inside that particular room and try to get a response. Is that room where we get those cold spots, a sudden drop in temperature and me getting a poke on the shoulder.

Those participants who have volunteered for the EVP session had their own experience to share at the end of the investigation. Few happened to heard these strange beeping noise, so we believe it could be the same beeping noise as what we had heard previously. A young girl, who volunteer with her father claimed that she heard sounds that sounded like chairs moving, while her dad heard some howls from behind him. He dismiss it as the wind.

But most concerning of all, whoever seated on the left side will feel a sudden cold gripped onto them. One of them even felt like as though someone is breathing behind him. I too, with 2 agents conduct this session after the last 2 volunteers were done. I seated on the left, and suddenly get this cold spot gripped onto me. There’s also a sudden drop in temperature that lasted only a few seconds. But strangely, the EMF that I was holding too doesn’t read anything positive. So what does that mean? Was this “thing” trying to absorb the devices that we are using? Was this “thing” really in that room in the 1st place? And why was it always occur from the left side of the person when he or she were seated?

Despite all that, I felt that we are not alone in that room. Even right as we stepped in, I could already felt the back of my neck tingles. I swear, it really gripped me cold on the spot! I’m pretty sure some of the agents that can sense such things felt the same way.

At the end of the investigation, the participants truly enjoy the time and experience with us. They now can get the feel how its like, before and during investigation. The common tools, gadgets that were used. And especially for those volunteers who took part in the EVP session. How was it like to seat there in the dark, and trying to communicate to whoever that thing is, in that room. Do they feel any presence or any sense of touch? Indeed, its really worth an experience, especially during this time of the month. And glad they were just in time to witness it before that period ends. They truly learn a lot of things from us, and many of them, if not all of them do requested for more in the future. Oh we sure will! =D

How I Make More Friends

Captain’s log                                  Stardate: 65155.9 (Aug 27th, 2011)

A lot of people have been telling me that I have been making a lot of friends from cosplaying. Haha! That is so true! I even found it surprising myself. It happens after each cosplay I’ve attended. Normally will found them through their Facebook photos where I happened to know them on those days. And seems like the population of my Facebook friends list were majority cosplayers, as what I notice. Which I’m happy to say that I do feel good about having such friends that fits within the circle.

Many of them whom I’ve met and talk with were really nice people to hang around with. They were funny, loves to joke and tease one another, and from the guys especially, does carry a sense of goofyness along the way! =D And best of all, they just love to dance! Indeed, they does have a wide range of colourful personality. And also, it happens ever since I was a Power Ranger. Knowing that there were fans of Power Rangers among my friends of cosplayers really put me in a spotlight to help me gain the bounding and the wonderful meaning of friendship. Yes, I truly respect all cosplayers, regardless which categories they were from. That’s the fun of being mingle around with them which I really enjoy! =)

So there you have it. That’s how I make more friends, through cosplaying at most. Some of them did told me the same thing. Some is due to the lack of being socialize. So I guess for them, by cosplaying can help them to gain more friends and to better understand what is being mutual. I can’t say anything further than that, but I think its for the best for them. To be more open and socialize. Of course that doesn’t mean you have to be a cosplayer just to assimilate other cosplayers to be your friends. That’s why you were send to school in the first place! =D

But nevertheless, I still respect my other friends, as well as colleagues. I look up to you guys like my brothers and sisters as much as you would do the same for me. Just two different side of the story. But the mutual understanding and friendship still remains unchange. =)

Captain’s log                                Stardate: 65137.9 (Aug 20th, 2011)

The yearly anticipating pop culture is back again to continue to showcase the best of both worlds which combines from the East and West. Bringing you the best from anime, games, comics, manga, toys, collectible and movies. You named it all! And best of all, the fun of cosplaying at this very heart of battlefield for all, and to bring you what’s new for this year’s STGCC. Held at the usual place at Suntec City Convention Hall which normally falls on the weekends, the crowd coming in will be no doubt, an increasing amount of anticipating visitors like those in the previous years.

I happened to be working on that weekends, which falls today, the 20th till tomorrow. But seriously, I really hate to miss such exciting event like this one. So far, I had never miss it since my first entry in 2008, and I always try not! Unless there is no other choice due to some heavy circumstances. But if possible, I always try not! And also, I’m dying to try out my newly arrived Dragonshield that were meant for my Red Ranger as a means of upgrading it. Been waiting for this opportunity like for eternity! And as such I had apply for a 1 day leave today just to get out from the cat box. Yes, 1 day. Enough for me to fulfill the fun as a Power Ranger. Now that my leave has been approved, I can finally morphed back into action as the all new Red Ranger in Dragonzord mode! =)

Ok, I shall skip all the frustration of waiting in the queue and getting a booth and fast forward for the fun of it here! Here’s are some of the best photos taken by Aizul. Credits to him! Thanks bro! =)

Also, the event dates was held during the fasting month. But I told myself, as long as I don’t run around much, took a break every now and then, I should be ok. Overall, I just have to endure it as usual.

Anyway, its been an epic moment for me. Seriously, I never felt this damn good with my newly Dragonshield. Its like as though you’ve been recharge to the next level! The entire day has been fulfilled so pleasantly with me been surrounded by the excited crowd eagerly waiting to take photos with me. Well, what can you expect when you cosplay as a Power Ranger or any other well-known superheroes? =P Especially the kids. Its just so adorable and delighted by many of them who will hug me after their photo has been taken. But the most touching of all is when many of them, especially the little girls will cried out to me: “I LOVE YOU RED RANGER!” Though they were just little girls, I still feel touch by those words. It means a lot to me. It really melts my heart upon hearing it and if only they could see how happy and joyful I am behind my helmet. Well, I guess they knew, from a friendly user superhero! =)

Its been a fun and awesome day around the clock, and I’m all ready for the next upcoming event. Stay tune! =)

Wonders Of Halftone

Captain’s log                                 Stardate: 65109.3 (Aug 10th, 2011)

Upon seeing a friend of mine posted some few photos of his own comic version that appeared on my homepage in Facebook, I began to grew interest into it and ask him how he convert himself within those photos into a comic layout. That’s where he introduce to me this amazing app, known as Halftone. Thanks Shaun! =)

I’m pretty sure most people who own either the iPhone, iPod touch or the iPad knows about this app, since its only compatible to this Apple devices. I do own an iPad, but I got to transfer the photos from my computer. That could be easily done. I select the best photos I can gathered from my Facebook. But most of them, if not, all of them were so damn awesome that I’m lost in choosing! Hahaha! Most of them taken were me as the Mighty Morphin Power Ranger. But there will be few others too, me as not being a Power Ranger. Also, I want to dedicate this new album to my friends too. They will have their comic look inside as well! =)

This app is extremely useful for creating your own comic book. The way I see it, it got all that you need to start one. It doesn’t take long for newbies to be familiarize with its 27 paper styles, 9 built-in layouts, 2 caption styles, 6 different speech balloon styles to choose from, 24 stamps and those funky looking fonts. Especially when you wanna used those effects for a fighter when he punches or kicks his opponent. *WHAM!* Its perfect for many of my hilarious photos! =D

Here’s some few of my best samples =)

And seriously, the more I play around with my photos with this app, the more I become glued to it! Seriously, I having a lot of fun doing this! You can do like so many wonders to convert many of your photos into a comic style. Its just better everytime! =D

And once I’m happy with my look, I straightaway send it to my Facebook. One after each! I was even been encourage to start a comic book writer with me as the Red Ranger and had the stories been viewed in Facebook by using this app. Haha! Sounds like a worthy encouragement. My very own Power Ranger and his amazing friends adventures. That could be done though. But the way I see it, does requires a lot of thinking when comes to writing the scripts, and how the story should goes about. Or it not, I can just mingle around with it based on cosplay events. Like how I had posted those cosplay event albums. From there, I can use it and convert it into a comic book. Sounds like a good idea, isn’t it! Haha! I intend to, but I will see how it should goes about.

I’ll be doing more comic style editing along the way. Now thinking of new ideas for those pending photos =P
